Faculty Senate
Faculty participation in shared governance is very important to the smooth operation of Texas A&M University, the Faculty Senate is the principal spokesman for the faculty. All Texas A&M colleges and branch campuses are represented through caucuses in the senate.
The Qatar caucus was established last year as the most recent addition to the faculty senate. This caucus, consisting of 2 senators, will serve as a link between the Qatar campus and the other colleges represented, and TAMUQ senators will make sure that their faculty's concerns and input contribute to the shared governance of Texas A&M University.
Dr. Khalid Qaraqe and Dr. Douglas Thornton are the TAMUQ senators for Academic Year 2007-2008.
