The Liberal Arts program at Texas A&M University at Qatar plays a critical role in encouraging students to broaden their academic horizons, integrating a diverse range of studies that develop analytical and critical thinking skills. The disciplines within liberal arts help provide a balanced curriculum for every student to grow both intellectually and socially.

The Liberal Arts program gives students the opportunity to delve into critical social sciences like history, political science, and English studies. In addition to the core courses offered, the Department also provides support for students undertaking research projects for their respective engineering degree. The Department is determined to provide a strong social sciences curriculum in order to help students better understand the context of their degree in the real world.
