Aggie Gateway Program

The Aggie Gateway Program (AGP) is a provisional admission program administered through the Academic Services Office. The purpose of the program is to offer high achieving Qatari students, who have not quite met the minimum test scores, the chance to enroll in courses at Texas A&M University at Qatar as a general studies major, until participants are academically ready for MATH 151 and ENGL 104.

In order to be fully admitted in Texas A&M University at Qatar, students must meet the requirements for the 2012-2013 academic year illustrated in the AGP Progression to Full Admittance Plan.

The AGP student’s performance will be monitored throughout the semesters to gauge academic performance. Once students gain full admission, the coursework completed at Texas A&M University at Qatar will be used toward degree requirements, as applicable.

The time a student is enrolled in the AGP program is determined by the math and English placement test scores students receive at the beginning of the semester. The length of the AGP program can range from a minimum of one semester to a maximum of three.
