Student Body Government

About Student Body Government
During the 2005/06 academic year the student council entered a new phase, new government, and new goals. That year the student council transferred to become the Student Body Government in TAMUQ. SBG includes twelve members, four representatives from each class and one president. Under this Government the SBG constitution was created and approved, including the SBG purpose, requirements to join SBG, and the methods for communication with the administration, students, and organizations.

SBG activities reflect the principles in achieving a united environment, which encourage leadership qualities, organizational skills, and responsibility in the student body. Career Week, organized by SBG with the cooperation of the top sponsoring engineering companies is one example of these activities.

Student Body Government in TAMUQ consists of very fine active members that meet on a regular basis to look after the students' needs and help them solve problems. For further information regarding SBG or the SBG constitution please contact: Hussein Jichi '09, at hussein.jichi@qatar.tamu.edu
