Athletics Awards – Most Valuable Player awards are chosen by the teams to select the player the team feels contributed most to the team’s success that year.

12th Man Award is given by the 12th Man Club to the member that has shown the most Aggie Spirit in supporting the Texas A&M at Qatar sports teams. Hussein Jichi
Student Employee of the Year is selected by the Academic Support Office from nominations submitted by departments throughout Texas A&M at Qatar. These students are being recognized for their extraordinary efforts, dedication and commitment as student employees. Antoine Tabet
Gathright Scholar Award – The Thomas S. Gathright Scholar Academic Excellence Award is presented at Texas A&M at Qatar by the Academic Services Office in conjunction with The Association of Former Students. The award was established in April 1973 and is given annually to the outstanding sophomore, junior, and senior of each academic college. Criteria for a prospective nominee shall be that he or she has the highest overall grade point ratio within his or her college classification.

Richard E. Ewing Award for Excellence in Student Research – To recognize his dedication and numerous contributions to Texas A&M at Qatar, the Richard E.Ewing Award for Excellence in Student Research has been established in his name. Each year the award will honor one undergraduate and one graduate student who have excelled both in academics and research and who embody Dr. Ewing’s recognized leadership and personal characteristics.
- Undergraduate: Anas Al Bastami
- Graduate: Mehrnoosh Sanefair
Troy Marschang Award for Leadership Excellence is named for Troy Marchang, a College Station Aggie that studied abroad at the Qatar campus in Fall 2008. Troy was integral in the formation of the SEC. It is awarded by the Student Engineering Council to the SEC member that has made a significant contribution to the organization. Akanksha Menon
Core Leader Award given by the Department of Student Affairs to students who have embodied the Aggie Core Values of Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Loyalty, Respect and Selfless Service.
Buck Weirus Spirit Award – The Buck Weirus Spirit Award honors one student at Texas A&M at Qatar that demonstrates high involvement, creates positive experiences throughout the Aggie community, impacts student life at Texas A&M at Qatar and enhances the Aggie Spirit. Abdulla Abdulla
