College Station and Doha Campuses Collaborate on LNG Research
Engineering Tomorrow
In 2003, Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, opened a branch campus in the Middle Eastern country of Qatar.  The campus is part of Education City, a consortium of educational and research institutions hosted by Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.  Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) offers four undergraduate engineering programs at the Education City campus: Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering.

In 2007, the 55,000 square meter (595,000 sq ft) Texas A&M Engineering Building in Education City was completed. TAMUQ will establish a research program and offer graduate engineering programs. In addition to the world-renowned academic program, TAMUQ has established itself as a partner in research and development with local industry and universities.


Texas A&M at Qatar convenes chemistry conference

Texas A&M at Qatar recognizes its first graduates

Texas A&M University at Qatar on 17 Dec. honored Hessa Al-Missned and Aisha Al-Wadaani at a graduation recognition celebration. Al-Missned and Al-Wadaani are the first graduates from Texas A&M at Qatar since the University opened its branch campus in Doha in 2003. Read more.


Funds will expand educational opportunities for engineering students

Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) officials on 5 Dec. honored representatives from ConocoPhillips for the company's QR250,000 donation to scholarship funds for engineering students at the University. Read more.
