IEEE-HKN encourages excellence in electrical engineering and its surrounding fields. The first members of the Texas A&M at Qatar chapter of IEEE-HKN, the Lambda Mu chapter, will be inducted at the inauguration ceremony.

Attendees from academia and industry will convene to discuss the role of power electronic converters in the conversion of alternative energy sources in order to reduce energy waste and improve grid power quality. The Workshop aims to further the application of power electronics in conversion of renewable energy sources and will focus on potential use of this technology specifically in Qatar.
