Research

The research projects at Texas A&M at Qatar contribute to Qatar’s thriving industry and economy. We seek more effective oil and gas production, faster development of alternative energy sources, and novel methods for hazardous waste water treatment.  We propose innovative materials and we study methods for better mobile phone and internet performance.  Our engineering research is supported by fundamental studies in physics, chemistry and mathematics.

We are proud of our contribution to building a Qatar-based research capacity through the training of future engineers and researchers in state-of-the-art laboratories, and of our commitment to student involvement at all research levels.  This capacity is reinforced by the many partnerships with local industry and government agencies that we have established to promote long term, sustainable, research programs relevant to the interests of Qatar.  Texas A&M at Qatar has research partnerships with dozens of universities and research centers around the world.  The funded projects, the International collaborations, the connections with local industries, supported by the University’s versatile and unique laboratory facilities, provide excellent research opportunities for faculty and students at Texas A&M at Qatar.
