Dr. Alex Honeker teaches political science courses in American National Government and State and Local Government to undergrads at TAMUQ. Dr. Honeker obtained his Ph.D. in Political Science with an emphasis in political behavior at the University of Pittsburgh, where he taught Comparative and American Politics courses.

Dr. Honeker’s research interests lie at the intersection of political psychology, international political economy, and party politics. He explores the determinants of individual attitudes on globalization-related issues as well as the effects of elite and party rhetoric on voters' views, and inter-party competition on these topics, with a special focus on economic globalization. He explores these topics with a regional focus on Europe and the United States, and employing experimental, observational, survey, and text analysis methodology.
