Interest Areas

Saber’s primary research interests are in the modeling, mathematical and numerical analysis of partial differential equations (PDEs) and their application in quantum chemistry/mechanics, data assimilation and engineering. In particular he is interested in

  • Mathematical and numerical analysis of approximations of the N-particle time-dependent Schrödinger equation: Hartree, Hartree-Fock, Multi-configuration Hartree-Fock etc.
  • Mean-Field Limit for the dynamics of large particle quantum systems
  • Orbital stability of standing waves of NLS-kind equations (Gross-Pitaevskii, constrained vectorial variational problems)
  • Modeling, mathematical and numerical analysis of non-Darcy fluid flow through porous media
  • Analysis of nonlinear systems of PDEs arising from Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD)
  • Inverse problems in fluid mechanics
  • Design and analysis of data assimilation (downscaling) algorithms in fluid mechanics
