The Chemical Engineering Program at Texas A&M University at Qatar will:

• Provide the best environment possible for students, staff and faculty to aspire to excellence and to develop to the maximum of their potential.
• Our graduates will have the competencies to become leaders in the process industries, business, government and education.
• We will use state of the art facilities, equipment and tools in our teaching and research. We will work as a part of the international community to help develop creative solutions to problems of national and international importance.

The objectives of the Chemical Engineering Program at Texas A&M at Qatar are:

• Our graduates will apply the foundation, depth and breadth of knowledge for successful chemical engineering careers in industry, government and academia.
• Our graduates will apply effective communication, leadership and teaming skills.
• Our graduates will have a sense of responsibility, be ethical in the conduct of their profession, and have an appreciation for the impact of their profession on society.

The program educational objectives are periodically revisited through discussions with the Industrial Advisory Board and other program constituencies. Our goal is to continually improve the program's ability to meet these educational objectives. The chemical engineering curriculum and individual course contents are periodically evaluated and adjusted in order to further support our ability to achieve the program objectives.

The graduates of the Chemical Engineering Program from Texas A&M University at Qatar should have the following outcomes:

• an ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics
• an ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors
• an ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences
• an ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts
• an ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives
• an ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions
