Dr. Abdala's research focuses on polymers, nanomaterials, and nanocomposites, including functional polymer nanocomposites, 2D nanomaterials, anticorrosion coatings, polymeric membranes for gas separation and water treatment, and nanohybrids of metal/metal oxides and 2D carbon nanomaterials for catalysis, adsorption, energy storage, and thermoelectric materials.
