Writing for Publication is a group for faculty, research staff, and graduate students who need time, space, and strategies to write up their research. iTIE provides uninterrupted time in a quiet space with coffee and other snacks to fuel your writing. Teaching Innovation Week

This spring, Qatar Foundation will host its first ever Teaching Innovation Week. The week will feature a series of lunchtime talks by nominated faculty from each of the branch campuses about successful and creative teaching. Dr. Barbara Oakley will be the keynote speaker. She is the author of A Mind for Numbers, this year’s One Book, One Community selection.  Aside from her keynote, Dr. Oakley will mostly be on campus for OBOC events and workshops.  For more information, contact Khadija Mahsud, Instructional Consultant, at Khadija.mahsud@qatar.tamu.edu.

One Book One Community
Every Wednesday in February with other events TBD

This campus-wide initiative promotes reading and community interactions between TAMUQ students, faculty and staff. This year’s book selection is A Mind for Numbers by Dr. Barbara Oakley. There will be weekly Read Ins with Karak as well as other sponsored events about the core ideas in this book. We are delighted to announce that Dr. Oakley will be visiting our campus in February.
