New Student Orientation
The Office of Graduate Studies holds a one-day new student orientation (NSO) for newly enrolled graduate students twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. During the orientation sessions, new students learn how to register for classes, receive information about services offered at the university and meet with representatives from the following departments:
- Office of Graduate Studies
- Academic professors
- Information Technology
- Building Operations
- Human Resources
- Records and Registration
- Library
- Graduate Students Association
During NSO, students with employment offers will receive the New Graduate Student Employee Checklist, a form that provides information about various departments at Texas A&M at Qatar that new students have to visit to complete the employment process. Students must return the completed form to the Office of Graduate Studies.
New students are also required to provide their original hardcopy diploma and complete transcripts to the Office of Graduate Studies during NSO.
