Abdelgawad wins research award
Published Nov 28, 2011Marwa Abdelgawad, a mechanical engineering graduate student, was awarded "Best Student Energy Poster of the Year" at the Qatar Foundation Annual Research Forum for her project titled "The Combustion Timing Control of Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition Engines."
University undergraduate and graduate students represented their research at the Forum through oral and poster presentations. Abdelgawad is advised by Dr. Reza Tafreshi, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, and Dr. Reza Langari, professor of mechanical engineering, Texas A&M University.
