DSA and ASO launch Know the Code Initiative
Published Dec 01, 2011The Department of Student Affairs (DSA) and Academic Services Office (ASO) launched an initiative to raise awareness about the Aggie Code of Honor by providing honor code pencils to students, faculty and staff.
Pencils are marked with “Know the Code” or “An Aggie does not lie, cheat or steal or tolerate those who do.” Michael Collins, director of student affairs, said, "The Aggie Code of Honor is meant to unify the aims of all Texas A&M men and women toward a high code of ethics and personal dignity. We hope to promote that by putting these pencils in as many students' hands as possible over the coming months." Faculty and staff may request pencils to use, distribute and give out in exams.
