Liberal Arts to host lecture on literacy

Dr. David A. Jolliffe, professor of English, University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, on 20 Jan. will present, "Literacy and Place--What Difference Do Situation and Setting Make?" Jolliffe will discuss the complicated term 'literacy' and will explain how issues of place (urban, suburban, rural, industrialized, agricultural, multicultural, and monocultural) influence people from various walks of life. The lecture is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. in lecture hall 238 of the Texas A&M Engineering Building.
