Published May 30, 2012

Texas A&M at Qatar, in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and ESCWA Technology Centre (ETC), will host a two-day Rapid Prototyping Workshop 6-7 June for technology managers at institutions in the ESCWA region involved in engineering design and prototyping.

The workshop will cover topics such as materials science and manufacturing, a live demonstration of plastic printing and an introduction to electronics prototyping and fabrication. Dr. Eyad Masad, assistant dean for research and graduate studies, said, "The goal of this workshop is to increase the expertise in rapid prototyping in the region, as this topic has significant importance in manufacturing and in various areas of engineering. Texas A&M at Qatar has unique equipment and expertise in rapid prototyping, which we are proud to share through this workshop."
