Srivastava presents 2nd PETE seminar

Mr. Ashok Srivastava, principal petrophysicist with Schulmberger presented "Formulation Evaluation in Carbonates Using Well Logs" on Tuesday.

His lecture focused on basic formulation evaluation measurements, followed by a discussion on the drawbacks of the these basic measurements and how they can be supplemented with additional measurements. The lecture also covered the physics of electromagnetic, nuclear, acoustic and magnetic resonance measurements, as well as the fundamentals of log acquisition and the environmental effects on these measurements.  This was the second Petroleum Engineering Seminar of the Spring 2011 Series.
