Technology competition to innovate teaching and learning experience

The Office of Academic Affairs and IT recently hosted, Teaching Innovation with Technology Competition." The goal of the competition is to stimulate the innovative use of technology for a better teaching and learning experience. The competition identified three proposals for implementation.


  • "Software Visualization Tool for Learning 3D Objects," Dr. Bing Guo, assistant professor of mechanical engineering.

  • "Interactive and Collaborative Mobile Learning Platform for Engineers," Dr. Konstantinos Kakosimos, assistant professor of chemical engineering"

  • "Active Learning via Smart Student Response System in an Engineering Classroom," Dr. Bilal Mansoor, assistant professor of mechanical engineering.


Winning proposals for the Teaching Innovation with Technology Competition will be announced on Tuesday, 3 Dec., 9 – 11 a.m. in lecture hall 238.
