According to Dr. Todd Kent, assistant dean for academic affairs, this year’s Careers for Engineers event will be the largest ever.  “We are excited to host representatives from over 50 companies. This event gives our students the opportunity to meet industry leaders and learn more about engineering careers in the region. Texas A&M at Qatar is excited to play a role in developing the State of Qatar’s young professional talent. That role is highlighted at this event as our students and graduates show industry leaders how they can contribute to Qatar’s future development and growth.”

Shannon McNulty, program coordinator for continuing education and event organizer, said “The event has more than doubled in size since its inception and welcomes participating companies from Qatar, the Gulf and beyond. As one of the main activities of the Student Engineers’ Council, the career fair seeks to foster valuable connections between industry recruiters and students. Both continuing students and upcoming graduates are able to showcase their qualifications for internship and full time employment opportunities.”

Students from the University’s four engineering disciplines – chemical, petroleum, mechanical and electrical – are preparing to attend the fair to discuss their skills and apply for positions with interested with industry leaders.
