Tourki named Outstanding Young Researcher

Dr. Kamel Tourki, assistant research scientist, received the Outstanding Young Researcher award from the IEEE Communications Society of Europe, Middle East and Africa. The award was based on an evaluation of Tourki's work with the University's Wireless Research Group, in which his main research area is cooperative diversity in wireless communications networks. Under the direction of Dr. Khalid Qaraqe, professor of electrical engineering, the Wireless Research Group engages in research projects and collaborations in different areas of wireless communications, signal processing, wireless system design and emerging mobile applications.
