University hosts student Networking Event
Published Oct 19, 2011Texas A&M University at Qatar hosted 39 local and regional companies at its annual Student Networking Event on Tuesday, 18 October. Third and fourth year University students attended the event to discuss internship and full-time employment opportunities with company representatives.
Dr. Todd Kent, assistant dean for academic affairs, said, "The Student Networking Event is a unique recruiting event that provides Texas A&M at Qatar students with the opportunity to showcase not only their academic and professional achievements, but also their personalities and enthusiasm for becoming a part of the engineering industry. Each year the event gains in popularity as an increasing number of companies are impressed with our students’ qualifications and the fact that they are well-rounded engineers with the potential to make significant contributions in the workplace."
