University opens Technical Services facility

Texas A&M at Qatar is set to open its technical services facility to local partners in industry, government and other organizations with an open house event on 29 Feb.

The facility will provide services and expertise to industry and organizations in the State of Qatar in various areas including electronics, machinery, material characterization and manufacturing, fuel characterization, chemistry, water and environmental research and research computing. Dr. Kenneth Hall, associate dean for research and graduate studies, said, "We believe the highly specialized equipment and services available through the Technical Services facility will benefit industry and enable the University to further support the local community. Texas A&M at Qatar is proud to support the growth and development of the State of Qatar’s industry and its progress toward a knowledge-based society through this initiative."
