Students participate in Robotic Search and Rescue Challenge

Freshmen students showcased the robots they made in ENGR111 by participating in the Robotic Search and Rescue Challenge 27 March. The first place team was Dana ElSaafin, Saly Awadh and Aysha Al-Qraisi. Maeen Swileh and Qusai Al-Awabdeh placed second, and Maryam Al-Buainain, Yusra Ahmed and Nadeem Wahbeh placed third. The competition teaches students engineering design, programming and teamwork.

Texas A&M at Qatar will host the fourth lecture of its 2015-2016 Distinguished Lecture Series 7 April. The lecture, "Bridging the Social and Wireless Networking Divide," will be delivered by Dr. Lajos Hanzo, professor in the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. Seers appointed assistant professor in Petroleum Engineering Program
