RDP awards travel grants to Texas A&M at Qatar researchers

Three Texas A&M at Qatar researchers have been awarded travel grants to showcase their research through the Research Excellence Travel Grant Program. M. Ziyan Sheriff, Imran Shafique Ansari and Jiyong Park are this quarter’s recipients of $1,200 travel grants.

Sheriff is a graduate research assistant in the Chemical Engineering Program working with Dr. Mohamed Nounou. He will present two papers at the International Conference on Control, Decision, and Information Technologies in Barcelona 5-7 April.

Ansari is a postdoctoral research associate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Program working with Dr. Khalid Qaraqe. He will present three papers at the IEEE International Conference on Communications in Paris 21-25 May.

Park is a postdoctoral research associate in the Science Program working with Dr. Hynchul Nha. He will present at the Central European Workshop on Quantum Optics at the Technical University of Denmark 26-30 June.

The travel grants are an initiative of the Researcher Development Program that provides financial support to cover conference-related travel and expenses every quarter.
