Hassiba wins 2017 ORYX GTL Student Award
Published Jun 22, 2017Technical laboratory coordinator Raid Hassiba '10 was awarded the 2017 ORYX GTL Student Award for the advancement of graduate education in Qatar. Hassiba said, "As I was born and raised in Qatar, I have witnessed the rapid development that Qatar has gone through. As I grew up, I wanted to take part in this industrial revolution, especially [in the one] occurring in the energy sector. This motivated me to pursue a degree in chemical engineering at Texas A&M at Qatar." Hassiba also obtained a M.S. degree from Texas A&M at Qatar in 2016 under the supervision of Dr. Patrick Linke, executive director of the Graduate Studies Program.
