Texas A&M at Qatar hosts training exercise with Civil Defense
Published Sep 20, 2017Texas A&M at Qatar hosted a training exercise that saw ambulances, fire trucks and hazardous materials response vehicles from Qatar Civil Defense respond to a mock accident in which three people were injured. Representatives from Qatar Foundation and Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar also participated in the exercise. Simulated chemical injuries and lacerations were evaluated and treated by responding emergency response personnel.The exercise also included an assessment and decontamination of the area where the mock accident occurred. The exercise expanded the readiness and capacity of Texas A&M at Qatar.
