RDP awards travel grants to Texas A&M at Qatar researchers

Three Texas A&M at Qatar researchers have been awarded travel grants to showcase their research through the Research Excellence Travel Grant Program. Jibran Khan, Christos Argyropoulos and Mohamed Sufiyan Challiwala are this quarter’s recipients of $1,200 travel grants.

Khan and Argyropoulos work in the Chemical Engineering Program with Dr. Konstantinos Kakosimos. Khan gave an oral presentation at the 18th International Conference on Harmonisation within Atmospheric Dispersion Modelling for Regulatory Purposes in Bologna, Italy, 9-12 Oct. Argyropoulos exhibited a poster at the same conference, in addition to an oral presentation and having two studies he co-authored accepted for further showings.

Challiwala is a research associate in the Chemical Engineering Program working with Dr. Nimir Elbashir. He will give two presentations at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers' Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota, 29 Oct. through 3 Nov.
