Dr. Aymen Elsheikh, instructional assistant professor in the Liberal Arts Program, has recently co-edited a volume, Motivation and Classroom Management: Theory, Practice and Implications. The book addresses not only how to motivate teachers and learners but also the relationship between motivation and classroom management.

The Student Engineers' Council and volunteers from the engineering honor societies at Texas A&M at Qatar recently held their annual charity event. They helped serve food, drinks and ice cream to the support staff in the Texas A&M Engineering Building. A total of 120 cleaners, security guards and technicians attended the event.

Technical laboratory coordinator Mohammad AlGammal was recently named one of 10 winners out of nearly 1,000 entrants in the Challenge 22 competition. The competition is an initiative of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy in which finalists presented their proposals over two days to a panel of experts for a chance to win $15,000.
