RDP awards travel grants to researchers
Published Jan 10, 2018Dr. Rodrigo Cuenca Martinez and Dr. Manyam Praveen Kumar are the 2017 fourth cycle recipients of $1,200 travel grants to showcase their research through the Research Excellence Travel Grant Program. Cuenca Martinez is a postdoctoral research associate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Program working with Dr. Beena Ahmed. He will give two oral presentations at the SPIE Photonics West conference in San Francisco, 27 Jan. through 1 Feb. Praveen Kumar is also a postdoctoral research associate in the Science Program working with Dr. Sherzod Madrahimov. He will present two posters at the American Chemical Society's Spring 2018 National Meeting in New Orleans, from 18 to 22 March. The travel grants are an initiative of the Researcher Development Program that provides financial support to cover conference-related travel and expenses every quarter.
