Williams awarded first place for dissertation on deciphering intercultural miscommunication
Published Apr 18, 2018Dr. Joseph Williams, instructional associate professor of English in the Liberal Arts Program, has been awarded the outstanding dissertation award by Texas Tech University technical communication and rhetoric alumni. WIlliams' dissertation, "Safety within Oil Rig Culture: Deciphering Intercultural Miscommunication among Offshore Petroleum Workers," placed first for the years 2016 and 2017.
