Texas A&M at Qatar hosts students from main campus for research intensive program
Published Jul 10, 2018Texas A&M at Qatar recently hosted the Engineering Learning Community Introduction to Research (ELCIR) program. The program exposes first generation college students and at-risk students to research and opportunities within industry and graduate school to conduct more. Ten students from main campus were joined by six Texas A&M at Qatar students to take a research principles class with chemical engineering associate professor Dr. Konstantinos Kakosimos. The students also went on tours at QEERI, TOTAL, Microsoft, ConocoPhillips, Shell and the Qatar Biobank to see current research activities happening in Qatar.
