Texas A&M at Qatar now accepting applications for master’s program for spring 2019

Texas A&M University at Qatar is now accepting applications for its two master’s programs in chemical engineering for spring 2019.

Texas A&M at Qatar offers Master of Science (M.S.) and Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degrees. The graduate studies program is a significant contributor to the development of the human capital Qatar needs to support its vision and future.

Noof Abdallah, a current graduate student and a graduate process technologist at Qatar Shell, said, “The dilemma of starting a career or pursuing my master’s degree was made easier by Texas A&M University at Qatar. I was looking for a prestigious university with integrated experience while being close to my hometown, and Texas A&M at Qatar gave me a world-class education right here in Qatar.”

Texas A&M at Qatar has world-class facilities and state-of-the-art laboratories and its faculty are dedicated to teaching and research. Graduate students work side by side with faculty on research projects that contribute to Qatar National Vision 2030 and its goal of a knowledge-based economy.

Dr. Patrick Linke, executive director of graduate studies, said, “Our graduate students participate in cutting-edge research that aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030 for sustainable development.”

All graduate students benefit from a flexible course schedule and they also may qualify for funding assistance.

Hania Ayyash, manager of the graduate studies program, said, “Our class schedules allow part-time studies next to full-time employment in industry or government, and we also have a number of graduate research and teaching assistantship positions available for full-time students every year.”

Samah Warrag obtained her master’s degree from Texas A&M at Qatar and has also recently completed her Ph.D. in the Netherlands. “I'm very grateful for the great opportunity I had to study in a university such as Texas A&M at Qatar. It changed my entire life and was a rewarding journey that equipped me with knowledge and skills to start a successful Ph.D. I learned professionalism, teamwork, critical thinking and decision making,” Warrag said.
