Texas A&M at Qatar brings science and engineering to life in Qatar’s schools

Published Oct 17, 2018

Texas A&M University at Qatar’s Science and Engineering Road Show recently launched its 2018-2019 season at American School of Doha, allowing students to witness science and engineering in action. During the show, Benjamin Cieslinski and Dr. Mohamed Gharib demonstrate science and engineering concepts and talk to students about how those principles can be seen in real life. The goal is to introduce young students to STEM concepts and demonstrate the science and engineering that surrounds them every day that they may take for granted. Show modules are based on themes, such as temperature, pressure, fluid flow, polymers, and chemical structure. The road show is part of Texas A&M at Qatar’s ongoing efforts to attract Qatar’s best and brightest young minds to choose career paths in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and support the goals set out in the Qatar National Vision 2030. Officially launched in November 2017, the road show reached more than 6,100 students at 23 schools in six months. Texas A&M at Qatar is currently accepting road show registrations for the fall semester at www.STEM.qa.
