Hodges presents keynote address at writing center association conference

Dr. Amy Hodges delivered the keynote address, “Learning from/in MENA Writing Centers — Active Citizenship and Social Justice,” at the 2018 International Writing Centers Association (IWCA) conference 11-13 Oct. in Atlanta with colleagues from the American University of Sharjah and the American University of Beirut. Hodges is an instructional assistant professor in the Liberal Arts Program and the writing across the curriculum coordinator at the Center for Teaching and Learning. She spoke about tutor training methods for diverse student populations, how the writing tutors at the Center for Teaching and Learning promote student action and success and the future of writing centers in globalized institutions. The keynote will be published in a forthcoming issue of The Writing Center Journal.
