Texas A&M at Qatar hosts Safety Week to raise awareness on the importance of safety
Published Oct 28, 2018Texas A&M University at Qatar recently hosted Safety Week to raise awareness about living and working safely and making safety an everyday part of life. The week’s events included talks from QF leadership, lab safety award presentations, a defensive driving course and a safety fair. Safety Week also highlighted how other companies and institutions in Qatar are emphasizing the shared objective of promoting safety. Texas A&M at Qatar graduate Abdulaziz Al-Qhatani ’18 gave a talk on how his perspective on safety has changed positively since joining the workforce at Qatargas. ExxonMobil Qatar’s senior safety, security, health and regulatory adviser Fadi Ayache spoke about the approach and processes ExxonMobil is taking to achieve their slogan, “Nobody gets hurt.”
