New student organization holds beach cleanup
Published Mar 27, 2019Eco-soteria, a new student organization that raises awareness about various environmental issues and concerns in Qatar, recently organized a beach cleanup. Twenty-three students traveled to Simaisma Beach to clean the beach of trash and to learn more about the effects of littering on oceans. They collected around 120 kilograms of waste. Led by freshman Noora Al Thani, the club educates students on how to lead more environmentally friendly lifestyles.
