Nha publishes papers in prestigious quantum computing journal

Published Jun 26, 2019

Dr. Hyunchul Nha, professor in the Science Program, recently published two papers in npj Quantum Information. The journal is recognized as having one of the highest impact factors in its field (two-year IF:8.27, five-year IF:9.181). The first paper, "Optimal Gaussian measurements for phase estimation in single-mode Gaussian metrology," addressed the quantum metrology to enhance phase estimation over classical schemes using Gaussian states. The second paper, "Quantum non-Gaussianity and secure quantum communication," established a theoretical framework to comprehensively deal with quantum non-Gaussian states and ultimately identifying the condition for secure communication. The works were supported by the NPRP project, "Multi-partite Continuous Variable Correlations for Quantum Communications."
