Texas A&M University at Qatar students Aalaa Abdalla (mechanical engineering), Midhat Javaid Zaidi (chemical engineering), Rinith Reghunath (electrical and computer engineering) and Maha Al-Sheeb (chemical engineering) recently published their papers in the conference proceedings of the 126th American Society of Engineering Education Conference & Exposition in Tampa, Fla. (USA), in June. The students worked under the supervision of Dr. Amy Hodges from the Liberal Arts Program.

Abdalla, Zaidi and Reghunath studied student perceptions of project-based learning, and Al-Sheeb analyzed female Qataris’ experiences in the engineering industry. Both papers can be accessed through ASEE’s website, peer.asee.org.

Abdalla and Hodges presented at the conference and were also selected to present a poster of their paper at the President’s Farewell Reception at the end of the conference.
