Student Affairs holds inaugural Presidents' Academy for student organizations

Published Oct 21, 2019

Student Affairs recently hosted its first Presidents’ Academy, a new initiative and professional development program specifically designed for student organization presidents to deepen their leadership experiences.

The goal of the academy is to equip presidents with practical knowledge and skills that will help them lead their respective teams successfully. In this program, student organization presidents learn how to develop their leadership strengths and address areas of improvement, how to lead teams through ambiguity or conflict, and how to explore best practices in leadership.

The academy consists of one 50-minute session per month. At the culmination of the program, student leaders attend a formal luncheon where they have the opportunity to present their experience. They will also be acknowledged for successful completion of the academy at the Aggie Achievements Awards Ceremony in April 2020.
