Texas A&M at Qatar hosts Education City-wide Doha Counselors DayPublished Oct 23, 2019
More than 100 counselors from schools across Qatar attended the annual Doha Counselors Day featuring partner universities from throughout Education City hosted by Texas A&M University at Qatar. Represented were VCU Arts Qatar, Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar, Texas A&M at Qatar, Carnegie Mellon University Qatar, Georgetown University Qatar, Northwestern University in Qatar, Hamad Bin Khalifa University and Qatar Foundation’s Academic Bridge Program. The keynote speaker for the half-day event was Dr. Ameena Hussein, chief curator and director of programs for the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) in Qatar Foundation. The program also featured a panel discussion and Q&A with Education City admissions personnel, and workshops on secondary counseling and future careers. The event wrapped up with a college fair and networking reception.
