The Center for Teaching and Learning offered eight engineering enrichment short courses to 105 Texas A&M at Qatar students at the end of the fall 2019 semester. Of the student participants, 36 students were new to the enrichment programming.

This cycle of offerings targeted improving both the professional and technical skills of students. The short courses offered included negotiation skills, ideation (Lego Serious Play), leadership (ILM endorsed), managing safely (IOSH), SolidWorks, an introduction to Arduino, and ProMax.

In addition, for the first time, the CTL partnered with the Office of Outreach to host Shayla Rivera ’83, professor of practice and director of Engr [X] from main campus, to offer a one-day seminar on empowerment and workplace motivation to current and former students.
