Texas A&M at Qatar accepting applications for fall 2020 enrollment until 1 March

Texas A&M University at Qatar will accept applications for the fall 2020 semester for freshman through 1 March.

Texas A&M commands an international reputation as one of the world’s premier engineering programs, and Texas A&M at Qatar builds on that esteem. Students at Texas A&M at Qatar receive the same top-tier education as students (called “Aggies”) enrolled at the main campus. The branch campus offers training and advanced accredited programs in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and petroleum engineering that rank among the top American universities for education and research.

Mechanical engineering major Hourig Ohanian said, “Every day, I think about how grateful I am to be part of a community that is motivated, lively and filled with leaders. Abdulkarim Agha, a petroleum engineering major and president of the Society of Petroleum Engineers student chapter, encouraged all high-achieving high school seniors to apply to Texas A&M at Qatar for the opportunity to change their lives and build their careers as engineers.

“Texas A&M has offered me nothing but new experiences ever since I arrived as an international student from Yemen,” Agha said. “Apart from the high-ranked degree I am earning, I have already found a second home here. I am blessed to have been able to travel with the university to places such as Costa Rica, Thailand and Greece for different programs. This university is preparing me to be an engineer, and a leader as well.”

Prospective students have become aware of the high demand for professional engineers worldwide, and they are interested in Texas A&M at Qatar’s world-recognized, premier engineering programs that develop exemplary engineers and leaders through internationally respected undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The branch campus’ faculty are among the best in their fields, and students have access to a state-of-the-art engineering facilities and labs.

Interested students may visit the Texas A&M Engineering Building in Education City and meet with staff members in the Office of Admissions. Admissions officers and advisers are available to meet students and explain application requirements and the admissions process every Sunday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
