CTL webinar challenges students to make the most of difficult situations

A recent webinar hosted by Texas A&M at Qatar’s Center for Teaching and Learning challenged the 27 students in attendance to always make the most of a difficult situation.
The webinar, “What’s your COVID-19 Juice?”, featured Shayla Rivera ’83, director of ENGR[x] at Texas A&M’s main campus. Rivera said that uncertainty may be scary but without challenge, there is no growth. She said COVID-19 is one of these challenges that will help the students grow, and that while the virus is certainly contagious, so are laughter, reflection, connection and learning. Her advice to students: It’s all about us and the juice we would like to squeeze in different moments in life.
