Balog gives talk to commemorate IEEE Power Electronics Society birthday

Dr. Robert S. Balog, associate professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Program and executive director of graduate studies, gave an invited virtual lecture to the combined IEEE Power Electronics chapters in Brazil on the occasion of “PELS Day” to commemorate the birthday of the IEEE Power Electronics Society. The title of the talk was “Opportunities and Challenges in the Balance of Systems for Photovoltaic Energy.” Balog was appointed as a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Power Electronics Society for the 2018-2019 term and 2019-2020 terms. He is also the Chair of the Power Electronics Society mentorship program and past elected member-at-large of the Administrative Committee.
