Kogbara joins PLOS ONE editorial board

Dr. Reginald Kogbara, an associate research scientist in the Mechanical Engineering Program at Texas A&M University at Qatar, has recently been appointed an academic editor of the PLOS ONE journal. PLOS ONE, published by the Public Library of Science, is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal that focuses on rigorous research and ethics rather than perceived impact. The journal has a 2019 Impact Factor of 2.74 and a 5-year Impact Factor of 3.226. Kogbara’s research is in the areas of civil engineering materials and geo-environmental engineering. His research interests revolve around the characterization of infrastructure materials and concrete technology, soil stabilization, contaminated land/hazardous waste treatment, and sustainable recycling and beneficial reuse of wastes as resources.
