Texas A&M at Qatar hosts courses for student development

Texas A&M at Qatar’s Center for Teaching and Learning hosted a series of technical and leadership development courses during fall break from 11 to 15 Oct. to enrich students beyond the university’s core engineering curriculum. 

The nine virtual workshops explored topics such as critical thinking and productivity, time management, machine learning, cybersecurity, and other technical development trainings such as, LabVIEW, Introduction to Arduino Board, MATLAB, Working Safely and Microsoft Visio. Each course also included interactive activities to encourage student engagement and enhance their learning experience. The week-long workshops were attended by 115 students.

The workshop on cybersecurity, led by industry expert and former student Sara Ibrahim ’13, was also open to students from other Education City universities as part of Texas A&M at Qatar’s multiversity initiative and was hosted in collaborated with Thales and the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
