Electrical and Computer Engineering Program recognizes outstanding students, staff and faculty

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Program at Texas A&M University at Qatar recently recognized outstanding students, staff and faculty during its Spring 2021 virtual awards ceremony.

Recipients of the Excellent Freshman Performance Award were Maha Al-Mulla, Ziyad Ghalayini and Hilal Al-Kuwari.

Sophomores Mona Amani, Muhammad Bin Mughees, Abdulla Faisal Chaudhry, Mohamed Ahmed and Moussa Judia received the Excellent Sophomore Performance Award.

Juniors Fathima Hakeem, Ahmed Al-Shemmery, Leen AlNouri and Roda Al-Subaie received the Excellent Junior Performance Award.

Receiving Excellent Senior Performance Award were Ali Al-Haddad, Layan Al-Huneidi, Safin Bayes, Nadin Mohamed, Leen Al Homoud and Noora Al-Sulaiti.

The program also recognized its outstanding staff, researchers and faculty during the ceremony.

Laboratory Manager Kais Abdulmawjood and Assistant Manager Wesam Mansour received the Service Excellence Award in recognition of outstanding service to the Electrical and Computer Engineering Program.

Receiving the Teaching Excellence Award were Abdulmawjood, Mansour, and technical lab coordinators Randa AlQudah, Takwa Tarhini, Adel Abdellatif Hussine Mohamed and Moin Ahammed.

Researchers Dr. Shady Khalil, Dr. Abdelbasset Krama, Dr. Majdi Mansouri, and Graduate Assistants Mohamed Massaoudi, Yang Mingda, Dabeeruddin Syed and Ameema Zainab received the Research Excellence Award.

Finally, Dr. Ali Ghrayeb received the Faculty Service Award, and Dr. Othmane Bouhali and Dr. Sertac Bayhan received the Teaching Excellence Award.
