Petroleum Engineering recognizes outstanding students for 2020-2021
Published Apr 26, 2021The Petroleum Engineering Program at Texas A&M at Qatar recently recognized outstanding students for the 2020-2021 academic year during an online ceremony.
The program named outstanding students who have the highest cumulative GPA (grade-point average) in each class:
- Senior Rashid AlMusleh
- Junior Afsha Shaikh
- Sophomores Romeo Robert Indico and Gabriel Lazaro
- Freshman Basil Ibrahim Kamel Abdelmaksoud, Murtaza Asim Gundru
Also recognized were students who demonstrated exemplary performance and behavior within and beyond the Petroleum Engineering Program:
- Senior Ahmed El-Agnaf
- Junior Saly Awadh
- Sophomore Saba Khan
Senior Rand Alagha received the Outstanding Research Award in recognition of her high-quality research.
Rana Mansour received the Outstanding Leadership Award in recognition of exemplary leadership and outstanding contributions to the Petroleum Engineering Program.
"We are proud to recognize these exceptional students," said Dr. Albertus Retnanto, interim program chair. "These awards recognize that they had demonstrated outstanding achievement in their academics throughout this pandemic."
